As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of Foresight’s systems, with a focus on data architecture and portfolio reporting capabilities. Working closely with the Director of Engineering, Product, and other engineering partners, you will help build scalable, reliable backend services that support accurate, high-performance reporting for private equity and venture capital clients.
This role sits at the intersection of data, systems, and product, contributing hands-on systems development while providing technical guidance and mentorship within the engineering team. Generative AI is a key component of our technology stack, and you will lead the construction of industry leading agentic AI workflows and user experiences. Operating in a fast-growing startup environment, you will gain exposure to the workflows, data complexity, and decision-making processes that underpin the private markets ecosystem.
This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer and is based in the New York City metro area, operating on a hybrid schedule, requiring 2–3 days per week onsite (Tribeca). Travel is not expected at this time.
